TMS Therapy (OCBS)

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Therapy started at The McGrath Clinic more than three years ago when Dr. Harold F. McGrath and Dr. Rian Rowles completed a fellowship with Dr. Pasqual Leone, one of the developers of TMS Therapy.  They completed their fellowship at the institute of Non-Invasive Brain Stimulation at Harvard Medical School.  Upon Completion both doctors took their knowledge of TMS Therapy and opened the Orland Center for Brain Stimulation (OCBS).

TMS Therapy is a non-systemic and non-invasive treatment option for depression.  It works by delivering highly focused MRI strength magnetic pulses to stimulate the left prefrontal cortex of the brain.

TMS Therapy has been proved to be a safe treatment of major depressive disorders that haved failed to receive adequate benefits from prior antidepressant medications.  "In open-label clinical trials, 1 in 2 patients suffering with depression improved significantly, and 1 in 3 patients were completely free of depression symptoms after six weeks of treatment."*
